Since their debut at the Whitehouse in 1977, the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trio have built a worldwide reputation – and in their fortieth year, and still performing with their original line-up, they’re arguably the world’s finest Piano Trio. In this rare Liverpool appearance they explore the heartland of the trio repertoire – youthful Beethoven, Brahms at his most ardently romantic, and Shostakovich’s searingly personal second Trio.
